This person will lead Serotiny’s capabilities for creating, manipulating and interpreting biological data. This person will collaborate with software engineers and biologists to ensure Serotiny’s data is high-quality and intelligently structured.

Quality data is key to the success of Serotiny’s design/build/test loop that couples a finely tuned software architecture with wet-lab mammalian synthetic biology. Serotiny is looking for bioinformaticians who are excited to enable Serotiny’s software architecture to invent new modalities for cell and gene therapies.


  • Design and evaluate novel data architecture and bioinformatic algorithms
  • Efficiently identify and analyze biological datasets
  • Design in-silico and in-vitro experiments to test the efficacy of data structure, algorithms and data-quality
  • Collaborate with software engineers and synthetic biologists to develop protein design and analysis methodologies


  • Ph.D. in bioinformatics or Ph.D. with equivalent experience in computational biology
  • Direct experience with algorithm development
  • Expertise in mammalian synthetic biology
  • Flexibility and desire to work at the early stages of a startup
