Bioinformatics

Description:

This person will lead Serotiny’s capabilities for creating, manipulating and interpreting biological data. This person will collaborate with software engineers and biologists to ensure Serotiny’s data is high-quality and intelligently structured.

Quality data is key to the success of Serotiny’s design/build/test loop that couples a finely tuned software architecture with wet-lab mammalian synthetic biology. Serotiny is looking for bioinformaticians who are excited to enable Serotiny’s software architecture to invent new modalities for cell and gene therapies.

Role:

  • Design and evaluate novel data architecture and bioinformatic algorithms
  • Efficiently identify and analyze biological datasets
  • Design in-silico and in-vitro experiments to test the efficacy of data structure, algorithms and data-quality
  • Collaborate with software engineers and synthetic biologists to develop protein design and analysis methodologies

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in bioinformatics or Ph.D. with equivalent experience in computational biology

Mammalian Synthetic Biology - Gene Engineering

Description:

This person will lead Serotiny’s capabilities for genetic engineering by inventing novel synthetic proteins and collaborating with software developers to deploy creative protein design methodologies.

The infrastructure is part of a design/build/test loop that couples a finely tuned software architecture with wet-lab mammalian synthetic biology. Serotiny is looking for synthetic biologists who are excited to utilize Serotiny’s novel software architecture to invent Cas and CRISPR systems for genetic engineering.

Role:

  • Design and evaluate novel gene-editing protein constructs

Software Engineer - Front-end
San Francisco, CA, Full Time

Description:

Serotiny is looking for front-end engineers who are excited to design beautiful and interactive software interfaces for synthetic biology.

This person will deploy the front-end of Serotiny’s digital infrastructure: developing custom user interfaces, internal visualization systems, and other tools to provide biologists insight into their own data.

Role:

  • Collaborate with biologists to design and deploy custom user interfaces and software that enable creative protein engineering
  • Invent, integrate and ensure accessibility of novel software services used by our biologists
  • Assist the analytics infrastructure with data visualizations, computational graphics and the like
  • Extend the UI along multiple axes as client needs come to play
