Description

This person will lead Serotiny’s efforts to invent novel high-throughput immunological assays for developing cell therapies.
Serotiny's infrastructure is a design/build/test loop that couples a finely tuned software architecture with wet-lab mammalian synthetic biology to engineer and characterize massive libraries of candidate therapeutics.
Serotiny is looking for immunologists who are excited to develop high-throughput methods to characterize and develop cutting edge therapies for immuno-oncology.

Role

  • Design and evaluate novel immunologically relevant assays
  • Oversee primary cell manipulation and handling
  • Efficiently identify and evaluate assays used in scientific literature
  • Design experiments to test the functionality of novel proteins in mammalian systems
  • Collaborate with software engineers to develop the design and analysis methodologies and pipeline
  • Manage an immunology lab
  • Direct the characterization and analysis of therapeutic candidates

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in immunology or Ph.D. with equivalent experience in synthetic biology or molecular biology
  • Direct experience engineering novel Chimeric Antigen Receptors
  • Expertise in mammalian synthetic biology
  • Desire to manage a lab
  • Flexibility and desire to work at the early stages of a startup
  • Direct experience with Primary Cells

CAR Engineer

Description

This person will lead Serotiny’s capabilities for immunology by inventing novel synthetic proteins and collaborating with software developers to deploy creative protein design methodologies.
The infrastructure is part of a design/build/test loop that couples a finely tuned software architecture with wet-lab mammalian synthetic biology. Serotiny is looking for synthetic biologists who are excited to utilize Serotiny’s novel software architecture to invent CAR-T systems for immunotherapies.

Role

  • Design and evaluate novel immunologically relevant protein constructs
  • Efficiently identify and analyze constructs used in scientific literature
  • Design experiments to test the functionality of novel proteins in mammalian systems
  • Collaborate with software engineers to develop the design and analysis methodologies
  • Manage a synthetic biology lab
  • Direct protein design for immunology projects

  • Ph.D. in immunology or Ph.D. with equivalent experience in synthetic biology or molecular biology

Mammalian Synthetic Biology

Description
This person will lead Serotiny’s capabilities to engineer novel synthetic proteins and will collaborate with software developers to deploy creative protein engineering methodologies.
The infrastructure is part of a high-throughput design/build/test loop that couples a finely tuned software architecture with wet-lab mammalian synthetic biology. Serotiny is looking for protein engineers who are excited to utilize Serotiny’s novel software architecture to build and refine proteins for immunology and gene editing.

Role

  • Collaborate with synthetic biologists to design and evaluate novel protein constructs
  • Efficiently identify and analyze constructs used in scientific literature
  • Design experiments to test the functionality of novel proteins in mammalian systems in high-throughput
  • Collaborate with software engineers to develop the design and analysis methodologies
  • Manage a synthetic biology lab

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in immunology or Ph.D. with equivalent experience in synthetic biology or molecular biology
  • Direct experience with designing novel multi-domain proteins (Optogenetic, split, chimeric, tagged, etc.)
  • Expertise in mammalian synthetic biology
  • Desire to manage a lab
